Another chance to attend my expedition, adventure and survival skills day in the beautifully enchanting forests of Cannock Chase.

After recently returning from walking the Zambezi river for 137 days and covering over 3000 km by foot from the rivers source to the Indian Ocean. I to date have over 14 years of remote travel and expedition experience. I’m a qualified expedition and mountain leader, a bushcraft and survival instructor and also a highly motivated and seasoned adventurer. As well as this I’m an ambassador for adventure travel company Craghoppers, conservation ambassador for Ibex Earth and a safe water ambassador for Water-to-Go. My passion is to teach, lead and inspire others in the outdoors, passing on this unique set of skills and knowledge to people who are looking to get out more, meet like minded people and learn to spend more time in the worlds wild places, as well as learning to look after and conserve them! ☺

I have designed this intricate training day to teach all aspects of expedition, survival and adventure planning skills. Helping you to get out more, gain more confidence and learn all aspects of expedition and adventure planning skills and techniques. As well as teaching the essential survival skills required if things were to go drastically wrong.

The day will be set in the beautifully enchanting forests of Cannock Chase. Where we will set out in a unique group of like minded folk who are looking for more adventure in their lives. The course is designed for beginner to intermediate level and aimed to be a days hike with talks, discussions and practical activities throughout the day to cover the following topics -

- Maps and route planning

- Equipment

- Cultural understanding

- Survival

- Expedition food & water

- Ways to fund trips & obtain sponsor

- And more.

Meet up point - Cannock Chase Visitor Centre.

When arriving at the Visitors centre, please park in the lay-by section, just outside the main Visitor Centre car park. Its free to park there for the whole day.

What to bring - Weather dependant kit list will be sent out nearer the date. But please just bring suitable footwear, clothing and a packed lunch and drink. Any other kit required I will bring with me on the day.

Price - £30 for the day. A £10 non refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the course. The remaining £20 to be paid on the day.
